Pearson-Radli & Associates offer a variety of training classes of benefit to both the
novice and the experienced negotiator.
An Interactive Training CD is offered by Will Interactive (301-983-6006) in
cooperation with the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Unit has developed an interactive
training CD entitled, "The Incident." "The Incident" puts you in the chair as the
primary negotiator in a domestic violence stand off. Developed with the FBI's Crisis
Negotiations Unit, "The Incident" is the first of two new WILL programs for the law
enforcement community. You arrive at the scene of a barricade situation where a
husband has taken his separated wife hostage at gun point. You make the first
phone call, you decide which negotiating approach to use, and your negotiating
skills effect the outcome. What do you say? How do you get both of them out
safely? Do you have the patience, the intellect, and the character to win? A serious
learning tool for anyone in law enforcement, from experienced negotiators to rookie
line officers. To peacefully resolve "The Incident", you must use Active Listening
Skills, the backbone of negotiation. Users of "The Incident" are faced with the
realistic language and complex situations typical in today’s crisis negotiations.
